WINNER: Siemens - RMIT Fine Art Travelling Scholarship & Acquisition Awards 2009
Becc Orszag has been awarded a Siemens-Rmit Fine Art Travelling Scholarship for her large scale drawing Cannot Contain This. The drawing also took out the Siemens-RMIT Aquisition Prize.
Ms Orszag said the drawing was concerned with losing unique identity within a collected identity. "I’m searching for the moment at which the individual surrenders their unique identity for that of a collective, stemming from a concern of the troubling absence of individual thought within a contemporary society.”
